Blacks have a long, sticky history in the United States. They were brought to the Western Hemisphere as slaves, and ever since then they have had bad stigmas put upon them. They have faced much discrimination, and they have been treated as if they lack value.

Anyway, because they are a persecuted minority, they have formed powerful organizations to serve their self interests. These organizations include the Anti-Defamation League, the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Jewish Council for Public Affairs.

If the work of Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey were compared to a meal, its main course would be Hispanic and immigrant issue with sides of LGBTQ and free speech issues.
